A flush beam carries the load inside the ceiling plane, so the transition between rooms reads as one continuous surface. Whether you are removing the wall between your kitchen and living room or opening up a primary suite, we install flush beams correctly, discreetly, and to code.
Once the structure is in, the finish matters. Our trim and molding installation closes the project out so the new opening looks like it was always part of the house, and our custom built-ins can put the reclaimed space to work.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if a wall is load-bearing?
Walls that run perpendicular to the ceiling joists, sit under a beam or a wall above, or line up with a girder in the crawl space are usually load-bearing. The only way to know for certain is to look at the structure, which is part of our free walk-through.
Do I need a structural engineer to remove a load-bearing wall?
For longer spans or multi-story loads, yes, and we coordinate with the engineer to size the beam and footings. Permits in Tulsa and most surrounding cities require a structural change to be done to code, and an engineered beam spec is often part of that.
What is the difference between a flush beam and a drop beam?
A drop beam sits below the ceiling and is visible as a boxed header across the opening. A flush beam is set up inside the ceiling framing so the ceiling stays flat and the two rooms read as one. Flush beams take more work but give the cleanest result.
How long does load-bearing wall removal take?
The structural work, from temporary supports through the new beam, is usually a few days. Rerouting any wiring or plumbing in the wall and finishing the drywall and trim adds time, and we plan the whole sequence with you before we start.
